Which States of India share boundaries with Nepal?

India shares borders with China, Nepal, Burma (Myanmar), Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. It is the seventh-largest country in the world by area. In this article, we will see in detail about the states of India that share boundaries with Nepal.

A new political map was released by Nepal that claims Kalapani, Limpiyadhura, and Lipulekh of Uttarakhand as part of Nepal's territory. The areas of Susta in the West Champaran district in Bihar can also be noted in the new map.
On 20 May, 2020, condemning the act, India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said "The Government of Nepal has released a revised official map of Nepal that includes parts of Indian territory. This unilateral action is not based on historical facts and evidence. It is contrary to the bilateral understanding to resolve the outstanding boundary issues through diplomatic dialogue. Such artificial enlargement of territorial claims will not be accepted by India."
The defence minister of India on 8 May, 2020, virtually inaugurated a new 80 km-long road in the Himalayas, connecting to the border with China, at the Lipulekh pass. But it was immediately protested by the Nepali government contending that the road crosses territory and claims that India is changing the status quo without diplomatic consultations.
